Our studio is located on the Kenai Peninsula. Here you can find our team comprised of the sisterly duo, Shawna and Casey. Over the last decade, NRP has invested into countless hours of education to ensure that we are capable of providing you with top quality imagery. Meet Shawna…
I’m married to the most amazing and supportive man on the planet and mom to four of the most beautiful children! Besides Jesus, they are my everything. My passion is to encourage women to see themselves the way our Heavenly Father created them…beautiful, empowering, confident, sexy, vulnerable, lovely, strong, capable. I love to help women change their perspective about themselves.
A few things you might not know about me….
I LOVE coffee! Which is funny because when I met my husband, I didn’t even know what a latte’ was! LOL! But I wish it was physically possible to drink coffee all day. I love the taste, the smell, the emotional experience when I drink it!
I love to feed people and am always baking something yummy! Which can be a problem because I LOVE food, but I’m not really a foodie either. I guess I just don’t like to be hungry.
I can’t NOT talk without my hands flailing everywhere which can be a problem while holding a camera!….Like, I literally stop talking in the middle of a sentence if I can’t use my hands to express what I’m trying to say! I end almost every sentence with an exclamation so that you can feel how excited I am through text! Ha! I guess you could say I’m a tad expressive!
I love to travel and don’t do it nearly as much as I would like to. I have a HUGE bucket list! Once my kids get a little older, we will travel the world! Our family loves to be outside and explore nature. Camping is our favorite hobby!
I love Crossfit! My dream side job would be a Crossfit Coach. I just love the community atmosphere in the gym, I love being pushed beyond what I thought I was capable of, and I love feeling stronger. I can be very competitive but I equally love cheering people on too!
I can be so easy going that if there is a decision to be made with more than one person, I literally don’t have an opinion. I think it’s more important to me that everyone else is happy. Maybe it was because I was the oldest of five kids…I just wanted everyone to get along! LOL!
Meet Casey…
I’m a mother to the most beautifully spirited and tenacious daughter. She’s the one who motivates me to be better, to try harder, and to love more. Just when I thought I had vast amount of adventure in my life… then she came along and a whole new world revealed itself.
My whole entire life I've been amazed with every aspect of nature. As a child I would concoct my own little fantasy world each time I would go play outside in the fern filled forest, along streams finding minnows, or even the empty lot across the road that to me, was a “big lush meadow” filled with grasshoppers, frogs, flowers, & honeybees, or the best part was fireflies in the night.
Every outdoor exploration to me is about finding and admiring the beautifully unique miracles on this earth. That is where I feel closest to my heavenly Father, and that is what has collectively defined my artistic style as a photographer. I mean… to be inspired to create by the original Creator of this world?! Just WOW!! Creating things has always been something I thrive on and the fact that I get to that in my career is the most incredible blessing!
